Isn't Jeremy so great? It was so refreshing to read his post and quite a good update for myself too. I'm so proud of him and excited to hear many more stories when he returns!
So I've been meaning to post for awhile now, because I experienced the most amazing thing this past Sunday--a Wedding Shower!! I understand why they call it a "shower" now. Because I got absolutely drenched in people loving me. It was incredible. Imagine every person who you adore and admire, across all stages of your life, in one room. All parts of my heart and the last 23 years became interwoven together in this beautiful symphony of conversations and laughter. One of the neatest things was getting to watch people that I love meeting each other! I also had the awesome privilege of introducing each person as I opened their gift (thanks for the great idea Bri). My 90 second blurb wasn't nearly enough time to portray how much I cherished each person, but I was so proud and excited to get to honor everyone. Because I am loved so well by so many people. And I want those people to be recognized. So I had a wonderful time at my very first Wedding Shower. And I started a fun beginning of stuff for our new home! I guess I'm going to have to learn how to cook!
My explanation of the duration of Jeremy's trip may have been confusing. I've kind of prepared myself for his absence until shortly before the wedding. When in reality, he will be coming home for the fourth of July weekend. But I am not sharing him. Actually, we are heading up to Chicago to visit my grandparents, whom Jeremy will be meeting for the first time! I am very excited. I anticipate good food and conversation with family that I love deeply. I will likely blog when we get home to reflect on our weekend together. So I didn't want anyone who's keeping track of Jeremy's geographical status to be confused. Jeremy does leave again on July 6th. Oceans won't be separating us this time though.
If you ever want to get a lot of letters in the mail, get married! I love getting the mail everyday and seeing the RSVP cards!! Thanks to everyone who has been so prompt! I can't wait to celebrate with everyone...I'm imagining one big co-ed wedding shower!!

Hi Lindsay
I'm glad you had such a nice shower. I'm sorry I had to miss it. Your prompt "Thank you" was very impressive. See you you.
